The IrriGrid™ has a sturdy build, but parts can wear out or become damaged just like anything else. Unlike products that have to be replaced or sent off for repair when something wears out, this design is made to be fully repairable. This means that any piece of it can be removed and replaced without damaging or destroying adjacent parts. So instead of replacing the entire implement when one part of it fails, it can easily be repaired. And since you built it, you will already know how to do that.
